Leon Straker is drawn to the organic shapes and textures of wood, embracing their ‘imperfections’ and working in sympathy with the raw material to create a collaborative artefact that provides the owner with a functional celebration of natural wood. His sculptures are created with a range of saws, chisels and abrasive tools, and all finished with hand sanding and natural oils.
