Looking to the Japanese art form, Yosegi, for inspiration, Benjamin works with a variety of timbers including Tasmanian oak and merbau to create a series of intricate boxes as experiments with different inlay patterns and great tests of his skill. Benjamin’s work was exhibited in ‘The Art of Making: Studio Woodworkers’ at ADC in 2022.
This work was exhibited as part of the The Art of Making: Studio Woodworkers at Australian Design Centre in 2022.
