Summer Huang’s work is inspired by unnoticed moments, poetically interpreting fragments of everyday life – capturing both soft, organic folded forms and structural architectural forms. Handcrafted in her home studio, the  resultant works embrace the beauty of imperfection and experimentation- with a focus on the wearability and sense of belonging, regardless of gender. The name ZIPEI is not only Summer's birth name, but means “the (jade) that you are wearing.” In short, ZIPEI means "you wear".
