Made from an Iron rich Australian stoneware clay with wood ash covering one side of the vase. This piece was fired in an Anagama wood kiln for 100 hours. Wood is fed into the kiln every ten minutes to keep the temperature inside climbing. The ash from the burning wood then flies through the kiln landing on pieces to create beautiful and unique colours. This makes each piece individual and irreplaceable. Wheel thrown and altered in my Northern Rivers studio, perfect for an Ikebana arrangement. Fired in the Arcadia Cooroy Anagama.
Materials: Stoneware ceramics
Dimensions: (H x W) 13.5cm x 7.5cm
