Ian Bell is a wood artist working with sustainably sourced materials, primarily from windfallen trees. Using power and hand tools, Ian forms work that is partially painted, with visible wood grain indicating evidence of a life once lived. Carved into the painted surface are detailed patterns, described as a pixelated distillation of the naturally occurring design.
