Bawrrungga Nyami Gawbarrigam (Bowraville Women Gathering) is a collective of Gumbaynggirr artists based in the Nambucca Valley, NSW.

Donna Brown is a painter, jeweller, printmaker, textile artist, illustrator and curator.

Her work represents her Gumbaynggirr culture drawing on natural materials and elements of her Saltwater/Freshwater heritage.

Donna uses a combination of mixed media materials, including local native woods, seed beads and emu feathers working with enamelled copper and with silver.

Exhibiting extensively across Australia and has undertaken public art commissions. Donna was part of Aboriginal jewellery collective Shiny Shiny Blak Bling, Melbourne.

In 2021 she was part of a group of artists in Bawrrungga (Bowraville) participating in the Bawrrungga Project with The Indigenous Jewellery Project and Australian Design Centre with Jaanymili Bawrrungga.

In July 2022 she held a solo exhibition of jewellery developed from this project working with The Indigenous Jewellery Project at Everywhen Artspace, Flinders, VIC.
